Lincoln Financial Network appoints Samantha Hunter as Head of Multicultural Markets. She will focus efforts to advance racial equity and inclusion in the financial planning industry. Hunter comes to LFN from LPL, a global wealth and investment management solutions company. Her experience includes developing and leading LPL's inaugural Women's Business Resource Group.

Samantha (Sam) Hunter has been named Head of Multicultural Markets at Lincoln Financial Network (LFN). Hunter will develop and promote long-term, sustainable programs to advance racial equity and inclusion across Lincoln's distribution companies and the financial planning industry. She will also lead LFN's African American Financial Professional Network (AAFPN) to support African American financial professionals and clients, LFN's WISE Group (Women, Inspiring, Supporting, and Educating) to advocate for women in the industry and as clients, and the company's Women in Sales Network on behalf of Lincoln Financial Distributors.

David Berkowitz, president of LFN, called Sam an innovative and impactful leader with deep industry experience and an impressive track record of helping financial professionals improve advisor and client engagement. She will help advance LFN's service culture, advance racial equity, and ensure that our network of financial professionals reflects the diversity of American consumers.

Hunter looks forward to helping LFN promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the financial planning industry and the communities we serve. "Lincoln's enterprise-wide commitment to DEI impressed me, and I'm excited about what we can accomplish as we integrate DEI principles into our network of financial professionals and business."

Hunter joined Lincoln from LPL, a global wealth and investment management company. At LPL, she built relationships with financial professionals and provided valuable content on advisor and client engagement resources. Hunter developed LPL's first Women's Business Resource Group and has extensive experience with minority advisor groups.

Lincoln's AAFPN launched last year to support advisor development, attract more Black financial professionals to LFN, and define new multicultural client support strategies. The AAFPN was modeled after Lincoln's WISE Group, which supports female financial advisors and their clients.
