Lincoln Financial Group has been named one of Forbes' 2022 Best Employers for Women. This prestigious recognition is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc. In May, Lincoln welcomed Ellen Cooper as the first woman president and chief executive officer (CEO), after 10 years as a Lincoln executive.

Lincoln Financial Group today announced that it has been named one of Forbes' Best Employers for Women in 2022. Forbes and Statista Inc., the world's leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, present this prestigious award.

The Forbes list of The Best Employers for Women was compiled using an independent survey conducted by Statista of approximately 50,000 women working at companies with a minimum of 1,000 employees in the United States. More than 30,000 women were included in the study. Respondents were asked about their workplace environment, diversity, and whether they would recommend their employer to others. Female respondents were polled on parental leave, anti-discrimination policies, and pay equity. The final ranking takes into account employers who received the most recommendations as well as those with the most gender-diverse boards and executive ranks.

“Women comprise 62% of Lincoln’s workforce, hold 51% of all management positions and represent 41% of the officer-level population."

Ellen Cooper was appointed as Lincoln's first female president and CEO in May. (CEO). Cooper also serves on the board of directors of Lincoln National Corporation. Cooper was named CEO-elect in August 2021 after serving as executive vice president, chief investment officer, head of Enterprise Risk and the Annuity Solutions group, and a member of the Lincoln Financial Foundation board for the previous ten years.

Lincoln enlists the assistance of employee groups, including its seven Business Resource Groups, to support its diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy (BRGs). Since its inception, Lincoln's Women's BRG has enabled women to make a difference in the workplace, the marketplace, and the community.

Other awards in 2022 attest to the company's inclusive values, including the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, the Corporate Equality Index, and a perfect score on the Disability Equality Index.
