Primary TCL Technology ESG Report 2024 Highlights Path to Sustainability

TCL Technology has published its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, highlighting its achievements in sustainability, governance, and social responsibility. The report highlights the company’s commitment to integrating ESG principles into its strategy and operations, with the goal of generating long-term value for both stakeholders and society.
Wei Xue, Vice President and Director of the ESG Office of TCL Technology and Chairman of the TCL Charity Foundation, emphasized the company’s commitment: “Our 2024 ESG Report reflects the unwavering commitment TCL places on sustainability by embedding ESG into our core strategy and day-to-day operations. Our dedication to amplifying TCL's positive impact on a global scale is further demonstrated through our becoming an official Worldwide Olympic Partner, aligning our values with efforts to inspire a better future.”
Driving Sustainable Transition Through Digitalization
A major highlight of the report is TCL’s progress in sustainable transition. The company has launched a Carbon Footprint Ledger that consolidates emission data across five core industries and 42 legal entities. This platform allows intelligent data collection and real-time tracking, supporting TCL’s carbon reduction and net-zero ambitions.
To reinforce its environmental commitments, TCL is exploring the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Its subsidiary, Suzhou CSOT, has become the company’s first pilot project under SBTi, committing to reduce operational emissions by 42% and supply chain emissions by 25% by 2030, compared to 2023 levels.
Additionally, TCL is promoting greener supply chains. In 2024, TCL CSOT organized the True Vision and Insight to All Global Supply Chain Conference, bringing together 355 suppliers to advance ESG governance and sustainable practices.

Strengthening ESG Governance
TCL has enhanced its governance framework, incorporating ESG considerations into corporate decision-making. In 2024, the company formed the Strategy and Sustainability Committee, chaired by the Board of Directors, to oversee climate-related matters. This top-level body works alongside the ESG Working Committee to ensure effective risk identification and management.
For the first time, TCL also conducted a double materiality assessment, engaging over 40 representatives from academia, regulatory bodies, NGOs, investors, and employees. The outcome was the company’s first ESG issue matrix and materiality ranking, helping TCL better align with stakeholder expectations.
Creating Shared Value and Social Responsibility
Beyond governance and environmental stewardship, TCL continues to invest in social responsibility. In 2024, the company hired 346 employees with disabilities, a sevenfold increase compared to 2023, reflecting its inclusive employment strategy.
TCL also launched the “TCLforHer” initiative, a women’s advancement framework designed to ensure women are “seen, heard, and supported” across the organization. Through the TCL Charity Foundation, the company supports community development, cultural initiatives, and charitable donations worldwide.
