EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings Go Live on Amazon Business Search

Takeaways
- EcoVadis sustainability ratings are now visible and searchable on Amazon Business, bringing ESG signals directly into B2B purchasing decisions.
- Buyers can filter suppliers based on verified sustainability performance, while sellers gain a new way to differentiate beyond price and delivery.
- The move reflects growing regulatory and market pressure for transparent, responsible supply chains across Europe and beyond.
Sustainability is moving closer to the point of purchase. EcoVadis has announced that its verified sustainability ratings can now be displayed directly on seller profiles on Amazon Business, making environmental, social, and ethical performance a visible and searchable factor in business buying decisions.
Under the new integration, sellers on Amazon’s B2B marketplace can showcase their EcoVadis Medals and Badges alongside traditional commercial details such as price, availability, and delivery timelines. For buyers, this means sustainability credentials are no longer hidden in reports or external platforms, but embedded directly into everyday procurement workflows.
The change reflects a broader shift in how companies approach sustainable procurement. As supply chain due diligence rules tighten and mandatory sustainability reporting expands across Europe, procurement teams are under growing pressure to demonstrate responsible sourcing across their supplier networks. This includes evidence of how suppliers manage emissions, labor standards, ethics, and purchasing practices.

In this context, third-party verification is gaining importance. Buyers are increasingly cautious about relying on self-reported claims and are instead looking for independent assessments that align with regulatory and internal governance requirements. Making EcoVadis ratings searchable within Amazon Business helps address this need, allowing procurement teams to identify verified suppliers without leaving the platform.
“The market is demanding radical transparency,” said Pierre Francois Thaler, co-CEO and co-founder of EcoVadis. He noted that displaying verified EcoVadis medals directly on Amazon Business empowers procurement teams to make faster and more confident purchasing decisions, while rewarding sellers that invest in improving their sustainability performance.
The integration is designed to be simple. Sellers that have completed an EcoVadis sustainability assessment and earned recognition can now display Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Medals, as well as the Committed Badge, on their Amazon Business profiles. Each medal confirms that the seller has been assessed across EcoVadis’ four pillars: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
For buyers, the impact is immediate. Amazon Business customers can filter search results to prioritize sellers with verified sustainability profiles, effectively turning ESG screening into a routine part of purchasing. This reduces friction for procurement teams that must balance cost, speed, and compliance, while also documenting sustainable sourcing decisions for audits and reporting.
The launch builds on a partnership between Amazon and EcoVadis that began in 2018. Amazon already uses EcoVadis tools such as Ratings, IQ Plus, and Carbon Action Manager to support its own sustainable procurement and decarbonization goals, including its Climate Pledge commitments.
“The integration of EcoVadis recognition on Amazon Business product pages is a direct response to our customers’ growing focus on sustainable purchasing,” said Jennifer Carroll, Senior Certifications Manager at Amazon Business.

The feature is now live across EU Amazon Business stores, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. As sustainability data moves closer to transaction-level decisions, the integration signals that ESG performance is becoming an operational requirement in global B2B trade, not just a reputational add-on.
