Takeaways
- BriskFlow.ai has launched the first OEM XBRL-ESG reporting integration platform, enabling ESG providers to embed automated tagging directly into their tools.
- The platform supports global sustainability standards, reducing integration time by up to 90% and simplifying ESG reporting for consultants, platforms, and enterprises.
- With regulatory pressure rising under CSRD, SB-253, IFRS, and more, BriskFlow positions itself as a trusted, non-competing OEM XBRL layer built for seamless, machine-readable sustainability disclosures.
BriskFlow.ai has launched what it calls the industry’s first dedicated OEM XBRL-ESG reporting integration platform, designed to help ESG providers embed advanced XBRL and iXBRL tagging capabilities directly into their existing systems. The feature aims to turn complex sustainability reporting into a streamlined, automated workflow as regulatory pressures intensify across global markets.
The platform arrives at a crucial moment. As CSRD compliance deadlines begin to take effect in the EU and U.S. states like California mandate XBRL-tagged emissions data, structured sustainability disclosures are becoming non-negotiable. Many legacy tools still rely on manual tagging or siloed systems, slowing filings and risking data integrity. BriskFlow intends to change that.
Positioned as a light, embeddable middleware, BriskFlow ingests unstructured inputs, from PDFs to spreadsheets, and outputs fully tagged iXBRL files ready for regulators, investors, or auditors. The platform supports major taxonomies, including ESRS, GRI, IFRS S1/S2, SASB, BRSR, SEC, and ESEF. According to the company, ESG platforms can reduce integration timelines by up to 90%.

“We’re not competing with platforms; we’re empowering them,” said Founder Danish Mir. “ESG providers shouldn’t reinvent XBRL wheels; they should embed them effortlessly to serve clients better.”
A Purpose-Built OEM XBRL Layer
Unlike full-stack sustainability platforms, BriskFlow serves solely as an OEM XBRL engine. Providers can integrate it via a simple API call and even white-label the entire tagging module as their own premium feature. The engine automates up to 85% of mapping tasks, linking backend data, such as Scope 3 emission estimates or governance metrics, to taxonomy elements like ESRS or IFRS S2.
Early users, including Nordic advisory firms and U.S.-based climate SaaS players, report onboarding speeds improving by 70%. Consultants can scale from one-off ESG reports to multi-client portfolios, while SaaS vendors gain a differentiating feature without heavy R&D investment.
A Vision Shaped by Wall Street Experience
BriskFlow’s founder, Danish Mir, previously led Nasdaq’s sustainability reporting platform, Metrio. There, he faced firsthand the challenge of building XBRL capabilities internally. Even with Nasdaq’s deep engineering resources, developing an XBRL engine for ESG was costly and impractical. The market, Mir concluded, needed a neutral, independent XBRL layer that any provider could adopt.
That insight sparked BriskFlow’s mission: To democratize digital sustainability disclosures and make XBRL integration accessible across the ESG ecosystem.
Setting a New Standard for ESG Data Infrastructure
With more than 300 ESG tools competing for market share, BriskFlow stands out by staying strictly behind the scenes. Unlike platforms such as Workiva or IRIS CARBON, it does not plan to enter carbon accounting or sustainability reporting, avoiding conflicts of interest.

The company expects its OEM model to become the new backbone for structured sustainability data across industries.
