Salesforce partnered with Werner Enterprises to improve the logistics and transportation company's tracking and reporting of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data.
Werner will use Salesforce Net Zero Cloud to track, analyse, and report accurate data about the environment. It will help Werner get closer to its sustainability goals more quickly.
“The trucking industry is critical to getting goods into the hands of consumers across the U.S. every day,” said Shawntell Kroese, AVP of Sustainability and Sales Operations, Werner. “Werner’s vital role in the supply chain gives us a unique opportunity to both exceed our own ESG goals and help our customers meet their sustainability goals. By leveraging Net Zero Cloud, we can measure progress on our ESG metrics and report on how we are tracking towards those goals to ensure we’re driving impact.”
Werner published its first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report in 2021, listing nine ESG goals the company hopes to achieve in the next years.
Werner shared its achievements in its 2022 CSR report, which included its progress toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2035 across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
By using Net Zero Cloud, Werner can quickly change its strategies and tactics to progress toward its ESG goals that can be measured and are based on data.
“Every organisation needs to urgently accelerate their climate goals. We’re thrilled to collaborate with Werner to implement, track, and manage their environmental data more accurately with Net Zero Cloud,” said Ari Alexander, GM, Net Zero Cloud, Salesforce.
