Sisal, a top online operator in Italy and part of Flutter Entertainment plc, has received Gold certification in the EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings for 2023. Sisal has been recognised by EcoVadis, a trusted business sustainability ratings organisation, for the second year in a row, having won Silver in 2021.

EcoVadis's assessment looks at 21 sustainability criteria in four main areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Sisal got a score of 72 out of 100, putting the company in the top 96%. Sisal made big changes in key areas, like getting 97% of its electricity from renewable sources and putting in place actions and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as business ethics.

Getting Gold in the EcoVadis sustainability rating shows that Sisal is committed to making the communities and markets where it works more sustainable, responsible, and inclusive.

It also shows Flutter's Positive Impact Plan, which includes a plan to help coworkers work better by creating dynamic, welcoming, and equitable workplaces. This shows that Sisal is taking significant steps to deal with important issues like the impact on the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Giovanni Emilio Maggi, Chief Institutional Affairs & Communication Officer of Sisal, commented: “I am delighted that Sisal has been awarded Gold from EcoVadis, a reputable achievement and one that recognises our ongoing commitment to leading the industry on sustainability. It would not be possible without the hard work of all our team, and I would like to thank them for their continued dedication to achieving our goals.”
