The NYK Group Human Rights Policy is based on the United Nations Human Rights Council's Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

This policy is a guideline that declares the Group's support and respect for international treaties and declarations related to the protection of human rights, as well as a commitment to human rights due diligence and remedy, and is based on the NYK Group Mission Statement, NYK Code of Conduct, NYK Business Credo, and related internal policies and regulations.

In February 2021, NYK released "NYK Group ESG Story," which aims to further integrate ESG into the company's management strategy and promote business activities that help reach the SDGs.

In March of this year, NYK updated its "NYK Group ESG Story 2022." The new version includes measures for integrating ESG into the Group's management strategies, as outlined in the "NYK Group ESG Story," and gives some details about the Group's long-term strategy for sustainable growth.

To help strengthen the human rights initiatives outlined in the NYK Group ESG Story 2022, the NYK Group will respect the human rights of all stakeholders and encourage business activities based on this policy.
