Renesas Electronics Corporation is a company that specialises in advanced semiconductor solutions. They have recently announced that they received a "AA" rating from Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) for their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. This is the first time that the company has received this rating.

MSCI ESG Research is a global provider of ESG-related research, ratings, and analysis. They assign ratings to companies based on their ESG practices. The "AA" rating is the second-highest rating given by them and indicates that a company has strong ESG practices in place.

MSCI ESG Research rates and ranks companies on a scale from AAA to CCC. The AAA rating is the highest and indicates that a company is a leader in its industry in terms of managing ESG risks, while the CCC rating is the lowest and indicates that a company is a laggard in managing those risks relative to its peers.

“Achieving these results in three consecutive years is a testament to our global commitment to a responsible and proactive ESG practice. We are honoured to have received such a positive evaluation from MSCI this year, and will continue to strive for excellence in all areas of our operations by implementing best practices,” said Fujiko Yamaguchi, Vice President, Sustainability Promotion Office and Investor Relations.
