Airthings, the premier developer and manufacturer of indoor air quality solutions for commercial buildings and residences, has announced the launch of the Energy Efficiency Toolkit at the 2023 AHR Expo, a tool ideal for HVAC professionals.

With its new dashboard feature, Airthings is putting more of its attention on using air quality data to balance building health and energy efficiency. This feature provides customers with the data they need to identify unnecessary energy expenditures. The Airthings for Business Dashboard and the Airthings team can be seen at the AHR trade show from February 6-8, 2023, at Booth #C5952 in Building C, Level 1. The trade show is attended by facility managers, HVAC industry professionals, building administrators, and anyone interested in good ventilation.

Airthings Energy Efficiency Toolkit helps customers reduce energy waste by providing actionable data and insights on HVAC systems. This is done by analysing air quality data gathered through wireless sensors, resulting in an optimised HVAC schedule and a reduction in energy consumption. Buildings use 40% of the world's energy, with 30% of that being used for heating, ventilation, cooling, and lighting, making energy efficiency a crucial area for improvement.

“We’re thrilled to upgrade our Airthings for Business solution by introducing an Energy Efficiency Toolkit with HVAC Insights to our customers at no added cost,” said Oyvind Birkenes, CEO of Airthings. “Over the last year, customers using our solution for energy efficiency have already reduced their energy costs by around 20% on average. Skyrocketing energy prices have a huge impact on the bottom line for businesses and building tenants everywhere. By expanding the energy-saving features in our commercial solution, we’re empowering our customers to make informed decisions that generate financial savings for their spaces and help them reach their goals—all while fostering a healthy indoor climate for occupants.”

Airthings is driven by a mission to help customers save on energy consumption and reduce costs, as well as a commitment to sustainability. The company recently received a Gold Medal for 2022 from EcoVadis, a trusted business sustainability ratings organisation, highlighting its commitment to sustainability.

Airthings uses sustainable practices like circular principles for responsible manufacturing, high-quality components and materials for long shelf lives, and aligning its ESG actions with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
