Marie Luchet Named ESG Head at AXA IM Prime

AXA IM Prime has announced the appointment of Marie Luchet as Head of ESG and Sustainability, effective May 16, 2023. Based in Paris, she will report to Pascal Christory, CEO of AXA IM Prime.

Marie Luchet will oversee the sustainability strategy of AXA IM Prime, focusing on ESG integration in investment decisions, fund and asset manager selection, reporting, and product design as part of AXA IM's sustainability journey.

Pascal Christory expressed his delight with the appointment, highlighting Marie's two decades of experience in Sustainable Finance and Corporate Social Responsibility. He emphasised her role in developing the sustainability strategy and promoting ESG across the business, as it is crucial for value generation and innovation at AXA IM Prime, benefiting their clients.

Before joining AXA IM Prime, Marie Luchet served as the head of ESG strategy for Europe and the UK at ACA Group, a risk and compliance consultancy for financial services. In that role, she provided advice to private market investors from the US, UK, and Europe on ESG strategy, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements. Before that, Marie worked at the Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) from 2016 to 2022, where she initially held the position of Head of France and Southern Europe in the Investor Relations team and later became the Director of Continental Europe.

Marie also has experience as the Head of Responsible Investment at ECOFI Investissements from 2010 to 2016 and as an ESG sell-side analyst at CIC Market Solutions from 2006 to 2008. She began her career at PSA Peugeot Citroen in 2001 as an Environmental law counsel before transitioning to the role of Sustainability officer.

Marie Luchet holds a Master of Sciences in Environment from the University of Kent (UK) and a DEA in Environmental law from the University Paris – Panthéon Sorbonne.
