The Japan Exchange Group (JPX) and JPX Market Innovation & Research have developed a new sustainability tool—the JPX Sustainability Information Search Tool—to help businesses disclose their ESG-related information.
The new tool is exclusively designed for Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE)-listed companies and is currently in the testing phase. Users can share feedback to refine its functionality.

How does the tool help companies?
It is a repository of various publications, including annual reports, integrated reports, and links to pertinent websites. These are of companies listed on the TSE's Prime Market. They cover a wide range of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-related topics.
Users can customise their search by selecting specific companies or ESG topics. They can also use filter options and compare information across multiple companies.
Cloud services sustainability reporting specialist Cierpa & Company helped develop the tool, using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse and categorise companies.
