NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and IT services, announced that it joined the TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) Forum.

TNFD is an international initiative that aims to establish a framework for evaluating and disclosing nature-related risks and opportunities to enhance the well-being of both nature and humans. The TNFD Forum comprises corporations, financial institutions, and public sector entities that share its vision and principles.

In pursuit of a sustainable future, NTT DATA has incorporated "Realising a Sustainable Future" into its Mid-term Management Plan, with a commitment to addressing social challenges and contributing to global environmentalism through its operational activities, including Green Innovation of IT, and customer and society-oriented initiatives, such as Green Innovation by IT.

One of NTT DATA's key material themes is "Nature Conservation," which seeks to protect and recover natural capital for the well-being of people and the promotion of a healthy global environment.

Established in June 2021, TNFD is a global initiative that seeks to create a framework for assessing and disclosing information on the natural environment and biodiversity-related risks and opportunities.

It aims to enhance the transparency of nature-related risks and opportunities in business activities and promote a shift in global financial flows towards nature-positive solutions, opportunities, and business models.

The TNFD Forum is a multi-disciplinary and global consultative network that includes over 900 corporates, financial institutions, and public sector entities that share the TNFD's mission. The forum disseminates up-to-date information on the TNFD through regular reports and webinars to support the development of the framework.
