Sustainability Course: Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creative

Duration: 8 weeks (excluding orientation)

Marketing, media and creative have long been key enablers of the profit-driven business-as-usual economy, influencing and impacting the sustainability crisis we face today. Professionals from these sectors have a unique opportunity to take meaningful action and change their purpose to drive sustainable solutions. From the heart of the system, and as the engines of value creation in our society, these industries can play a central role in delivering positive leadership and transformation in sustainable production, consumption and behaviour. 

The Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creative online short course from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) equips you with skills and strategies to re-align the purpose of marketing, media and creative to support long-term wellbeing for all people and planet. Over eight weeks, you’ll learn how to inspire and reignite the potential for brands and creative roles to enable positive change. You’ll also gain a heightened awareness of both marketing’s physical impact on people and the environment and its capacity to influence human behaviours and identities, and engage in challenging discussions on issues such as growth, greenwashing and consumption.

You’re invited to join a global cohort of industry pioneers, committed to reclaiming marketing’s role in the world. At the end of the course, you’ll move from ambition to implementation with a practical Strategy for Action, setting you up to challenge the status quo and assume your place at the forefront of this change.
