Law and Sustainability in Europe is a one-year English-taught Master’s degree offered by Utrecht University School of Law focused on how law can support the transition to sustainability in Europe. The programme explores EU law, national implementation, climate protection, sustainable resource management, human rights and environmental law. It combines compulsory courses, elective modules (Capita Selecta), and a research thesis to train students as legal experts in sustainability policy, regulation, and practice across European and national contexts.
