ReNew Power (ReNew Energy Global PLC), India's leading renewable energy IPP, has been recognised by CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) for its effective disclosure of environmental impact and outstanding environmental management.

Based on the data given by ReNew through CDP's 2022 climate change questionnaire, it achieved a 'B' rating for its initiatives to reduce emissions, mitigate climate risks, and establish a low-carbon economy.

CDP is a non-profit organisation that operates a global disclosure system to help investors, businesses, communities, and states manage their environmental impact. More than 15,000 firms have declared on CDP globally, and ReNew Power is among a select group that debuted with a solid upper-grade 'B' rating, which is higher than Asia's regional average of 'C'.

Chief Sustainability Officer, Vaishali Nigam Sinha, said, "ReNew Power's CDP debut reflects our dedication to a fossil-free future while holding ourselves accountable to our stakeholders. This is one among the many efforts by ReNew to monitor and disclose its performance against the environmental, social, governance, and economic parameters and raise the bar on ensuring sustainable practices across the business. Our excellent performance, as recognised by CDP, across emissions disclosure and verification, risk management processes, and governance lays the foundation for us to be a global benchmark in corporate sustainability in the coming years."
