For the fifth year running, NTT DATA Corporation has been chosen as one of the top ESG investment indicators worldwide by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World Index. Additionally, since 2009, it has been chosen to be a part of the Asia Pacific Index, a group of businesses from the Asia-Pacific area.

DJSI is a stock index jointly developed in 1999 by S & P Dow Jones Indices in the United States and RobecoSAM in Switzerland. Each year, DJSI evaluates the sustainability of a company from the aspect of ESG and selects an excellent company comprehensively by taking market capitalization into consideration. From the perspective of sustainability, the top companies in each industry sector are selected as "World Index". NTT DATA was selected for the "IT Services & Internet Software Services" category. In 2021, of about 3,500 major companies around the world, 322 companies (35 from Japan) were selected for the DJSI World Index, and 153 of about 600 major companies in the Asia-Pacific region (77 from Japan) were selected for the DJSI Asia Pacific Index.

Sustainability Initiatives and Future Prospectives

NTT DATA will continue to promote ESG management in order to contribute to the SDGs, which are common issues for the global society, and to respond to the expectations of stakeholders by strengthening the dissemination of ESG information and resolving social issues.
