NatureAlpha Launches Platform for Business Nature Risk Management

The financial sector often struggles with a lack of accessible and reliable nature-related data.
NatureAlpha's new platform delivers automated, multidimensional nature risk and impact analytics.
The London-based biodiversity and nature analytics platform NatureAlpha has launched the Geoverse 2.0 platform, which helps companies and investors analyse risks associated with nature and make informed decisions to reduce their environmental impact.
This platform offers a more comprehensive, accurate, and reliable evaluation of various environmental and nature-related risks across different asset classes. It has been designed in accordance with the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework, which guides companies in reporting their carbon footprint.
Today, there is a growing demand from the finance sector for an all-encompassing tool that allows stakeholders to accurately measure and manage environmental risks. Geoverse 2.0 helps businesses reduce their exposure to environmental risks, and make informed decisions to protect their assets, as well as prepare them to meet evolving regulations regarding nature reporting and disclosures.

Geoverse 2.0 uses artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to provide insights for risk assessment. It has 28 geospatial data layers to analyse about 8.5 million asset locations worldwide with 99.5% accuracy. This level of accuracy guarantees that investors and companies are supplied with high-quality, precise data to support their decision-making.
Nick Hough-Robbins, CEO at NatureAlpha, said: “The optimisation of Geoverse 2.0 underscores NatureAlpha’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of quality nature data provision. We want to partner with clients to remove the data burden while empowering companies and investors to knowledgably manage their natural world risk.
“Too often we hear that financial institutions are challenged by the inaccessibility and fragmentation of comprehensive, quality nature data, preventing action from being taken. We must dispel this common misconception, as the data is available now, and it is time to act.”
