Lenovo's Green Bond Entered Bloomberg MSCI Green Bond Index
Lenovo Group Limited

Lenovo Group has announced that its green bond has been included in the Bloomberg MSCI Green Bond Index, one of the most prominent global benchmarks for institutional ESG funds.
Bloomberg MSCI Green Bond Indices provide investors with an objective and robust assessment of the global market for fixed-income securities issued to fund initiatives with direct environmental benefits.
An impartial research-driven approach and criteria are used to evaluate index inclusion, and securities must be rated investment grade. Currently, Moody's Investors Service, Inc. rates Lenovo's green bond as "Baa2," Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has given a "BBB" and "BBB" by Fitch Rating Ltd.
Wong Wai Ming, Chief Financial Officer of Lenovo, said:
"We are pleased to be included in the Bloomberg MSCI Green Bond Index, which marks an important recognition of Lenovo’s ESG commitment, as well as helping to further enhance the liquidity of our green bond in the fixed income market."
Since September 1, the company's green bond has been included in the S&P Green Bond Index, in addition to the Bloomberg MSCI Green Bond Index.

The upgrades come on the heels of Lenovo's successful completion of a US$625 million green bond offering as part of a US$1.25 billion dual-tranche Rule 144A/Regulation S bond offering in July of this year.
The inaugural green bond issuance marks a major milestone in Lenovo's ESG journey and supports its aim to achieve Net-Zero by 2050, making it the largest technology sector ESG bond globally in 2022.
Lenovo was recently included in the 2022 Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index, receiving an AA+ rating for the second year in a row.
